Rx450 Alloy Wheel Plastic Inserts

Just wonderful chaps and chapesses…….the plastic infills of my wheels…..how do these remove from them 20” alloys…? Do they just tap out from the rear, or are they secured somehow..?

They should tap out from the rear but you will need to take the wheels off, on the other hand you could try and prise them off but risk scratching/damaging the wheels

Thanks   John……I notice the bare wheels for sale on eBay have a hole in them where the plakky insert goes. Thought maybe they bolted through…? Would never prise against an alloy……born in Glesga doth not mean daft…..usually.

Strange set up this isn't it, never seen it before.

I noticed when I had my wheels off earlier the inside of the alloy where the insert is, is unpainted.

As a general comment, the finish on the inside of the standard rims is really rough. Worst I've ever seen on a car
