Hello fellow Lexus Owners I have recently purchased a 5th Generation RX500 having traded in my GS300.

we needed an SUV to accommodate a large dog!!

I have two questions that I’m hoping you can assist with:

1. Would you buy a Steering wheel lock and if so what make would you recommend.

2. I have just bought Gold membership from this Club and wondered how I get the Halfords discount voucher to potentially use for 1. above?

Safe driving everyone!!

Best

Richard

Congratulations on your purchase, the StopLock Pro is a good visual deterrent.

Yes it could be cut off with a grinder but hopefully the thieves  would look for an easier target 👍🏻

Hi Richard....welcome to the Club

A membership pack is being generated and will be dispatched to you shortly
In the meantime, a voucher in PDF format has been sent you via email so you can download it and either print it or save to your phone to use for in-store purchases.

Richard Quite a Few Of The Members Including My Good Self Have gone for the Milenco Steering Wheel Lock..IMHO It Definately Looks Better on the Car and Fits Perfectly Vertically Between the Struts of the Steering Wheel.Although The Stoplock Pro Comes out Slightly in Front I think It looks Horrible.. Again just my Opinion...!!! But I will Tell you What else to Consider And Once again it is Only my Opinion..A DB2 Tracker ( around ÂŁ30 ) ( Rewire Security ) Which you can fit on The 12v Battery And alerts you wherever Your Car Is 24/7 AND Also Tells you The Current Daily Charge Of Your 12v AND Hybrid Battery along with a Host of other Important Info...There is a Yearly sub charge but Quite Reasonable..Its Quite Simply The BEST little Gadget I Have Ever Bought..Hope that Helps.. Cheers.!!!

Hi Richard,

Congratulations on your new purchase, a mighty fine car.

We recently bought our first Lexus and purchased a Stoplock Pro Elite

https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-security/stoplock-pro-elite-steering-wheel-immobiliser-446669.html

I think you may need the elite, below taken from the auto express:

costs a tenner more than the plain Pro, but has a deeper curve in the shaft to allow it to be fitted to cars with larger wheel centres.

I find even the elite is a little fiddly, the pro most be a struggle.

Cheers

Hi I use the Milenco and it's not fiddly at all. You can fit and remove it in seconds and like Ronnie says, it fits upright on wheel perfectly. It feels very strong as well.

I got my Milenco on Ronnie’s recommendation - and I don’t think he’s on commission!

It was also one of only two devices that I noticed had passed a five minute removal test - the other being the £150 Disklok.
