Headlight units 2012 IS 250

Hi all

My Left hand factory headlight has condensation inside and has also yellowed because of this. 😑

I am considering options - should I just replace with a genuine part or try the Vland type LED headlamps? I can buy a pair of Vlands for not much more than a stock (refurbished) one?
Just not so sure of the quality and lighting of the Vlands - does anyone have experience with them?

I am pretty sure that Vland should be MUCH cheaper than original, even refurbished ones. The only way refurbished ones can be cheaper is if they are halogen, but by 2012 very few cars had halogens, most cars with DLRs are Xenon and single light is ~£500 (or equivalent in your currency).

I personally dislike Vland looks and I consider original xenons superior in both looks and the light they produce, however real Vland are probably better than factory halogen lights. But that is the thing - do you mean Vland... or Vland "lookalike", because "Vland" nowadays is used generic brand do describe all cheap aftermarket Chinese lights for Lexus, much like Hoover for vacuum cleaners. And they can be anywhere from very good quality, to outright useless and dangerous.

When I got my car 4 years ago it came with the Vlands. Wasn't a fan at the beginning but they grew on me. The light pattern is a bit scattered on high beam, but visibility is great and had no issues on MOTs etc. They've lasted me 4 years + whatever they've lasted the previous owner, so no issues with durability from me.
