Lexus app send destination to car

I'm wondering if Lexus have been making progress on revamping the "send destination to car" function on the app. I was looking at the map page where you can show the position of the car and your own position which also has a where to? window with search icon, I've tried using the search function in the early days of the new app and it has never worked. Today out of idle curiosity, I entered a destination to search  and it produced a list of search results including what I was looking for, selecting a destination from the list causes the map to recenter on the location of the destination correctly. The maps seem quite good and more detailed than those on the car satnav and a search finds a lot more destinations than the satnav. One thing it doesn't do is put a pin on the map to identify the destination position.

Does this mean it's a relatively small step to give us the send destination to car function back?

I never managed to get it to work but i thought it was because mine is a 2018 model....

Worked perfectly well on my 2016 and 2019 RC cars. I haven't tried it since getting my 2020 RX
