Why bother? Waze (owned by Google) is constantly updated in real time from crowd source users so it shows Police, speed traps, breakdowns, traffic, potholes etc and costs nothing. The Lexus mapping is adequate but is invariably out of date. Don't quite understand why they don't make Waze the default and focus on the rest of their software.  So why worry about Lexus map updates?

Does anyone know how to report incorrect speed limits reported by the mapping system. On a local road near where I live, the system thinks the 30 limit starts on the city boundary, which is about half a mile before the actual start of the 30 limit.

To my information is the navigation information of the car is used for input to the assisted driving feature, eg automatic slowing down of the car when approaching a bend or roundabout. If using Waze for navigation I guess the car still uses his own navigation/map data as input for the assisted driving, only do not know if this also works if you didn't plot a route since you use Waze for navigation.

Assisted driving works regardless of which navigation system is in use or, indeed, none at all.
