Tracker fitted today to 2023 UX 250h. Dealer just needed to get email permission from Lexus.

I assume you also receive a card? Do they add a sticker at all? ( Love stickers. )

Mine is booked in for Tuesday.

Having seen this post, I called the dealer and booked mine in today.  First slot available was 28 October.

FYI, I didn't have any notification from the dealer, even though my car went in for service and MOT today...

You get a membership card and a few hours after the dealership registers the tracker you get a couple of emails with manuals t&c and instructions on app installation. No sticker .

I didn’t get any notification, I just phoned and booked the car in.

Had our 71 plate UX 300e serviced yesterday, it is booked in for a new tracker by our local Lexus dealer (Tunbridge Wells, Kent) in early October. They confirmed it comes with 3 years free coverage.

I had to mention it when I was at the dealership as they were not proactive in raising the item. £$Y

These have been mentioned on the forum before.....and you really shouldn't have to buy them...however

Thanks for this Jim, they look very sleek. Very strange that these aren't provided by Lexus or the tracker manufacturer.

Hopefully these stickers will further deter the scumbags from damaging wheel arches before realising they won't be able to steal the car.

I've been debating in my mind whether getting these stickers to support the fitment of the (Lexus fitted) tracker to my NX would be a good thing or not. On the one hand I can see the benefit of potentially warning off a would-be thief (and avoiding the damage they cause to the wheel arch; etc.) however my fear is that this may induce the professional gangs to immediately, after taking the car away, start dismantling it (which they may ultimately do anyway for the parts they desire) to try to locate the tracker. Maybe it's better to not advertise the fitment of a tracker and thereby put doubt in their mind and force them to park it up somewhere for a day or two and wait to see whether the owner or the police come to recover it? I guess this may depend on whether you would want to get your car back with the wheel arch and wiring loom potentially needing expensive repairs.

Andy I am having similar thoughts, so am holding off purchasing the stickers for now too!

I was in touch with my local dealer recently (Carlisle) regarding having a tracker to be fitted.

They have told me that they are not yet in a position to fit trackers as their technicians need to do training courses on how to fit a tracker first.

It would be interesting if the Lexus technicians are the ones fitting the trackers or if they are fitted by an independent contractor.

Had mine fitted at Lexus MK this morning.

Excellent service from the moment I walked in to the moment I left.

Took just an hour.

Very impressed with their service.

Tracker fitted on my 2021 UX 300e at Lexus Tunbridge Wells today, big relief. Dealership activated it before handing the keys over to me. As expected, it came with TRACKER Retrieve 3 Year Subscription included, but no stickers for the windows. There was a separate thread on this elsewhere in the LOC.

Now to call the insurance company to see how much of a reduction this will make to my premium! The activation included a registration document that was emailed to me so that it can be provided to the insurance company if they require proof that the tracker has been installed.

Colin - I thought this was part of the same device / app? I will research this some more and report back. The chap at the service department was temporary cover from the neighbouring Toyota garage, and didn't seem to know anything about the geofence functionality.

Also, my car insurance price did NOT change after the tracker was fitted  I only renewed about a month ago, but fortunately my insurance hadn't increased that much. I hope it will be a different story come next renewal.

I'm getting one fitted to an ES next week. The dealer said it didn't qualify but when I wrote to the Lexus CR they told the dealer to fit it. Try that route.

@ArneT These are two separate devices - the main tracker device which is pretty much "standalone" and a separate device that works in conjunction with the Tracker Touch app to provide the geofence functionality and other things such as car location; trip history; etc. I won't say anymore about the secondary device here (for obvious reasons) but if you want to know more then feel free to PM me. What happened to me was that approximately 2 weeks after having the tracker fitted I got an email from Tracker giving me the sign-up details required to register the secondary device with the app.

I see that the Geofence thingy is always referred to as an 'OBD device' so is it something that's permanently plugged into the OBD port?

I hope not because I often use an app called OBD Fusion via an ELM32 plug in there.
