Sit up!

Annoyance number two….. is it possible to switch off the warning that says either sit up or look forward? I get  the logic, but blimey I’m going to crash at this rate trying to figure out what’s pinging and beeping. Maybe I stick a smiley face over the camera on the steering wheel? 😁

Adjust the steering wheel slightly?

The function can be switched off using the centre display

Know what you mean…..my courtesy car hasn’t shut up since I got it.  How far are manufacturers allowed to go, before that line is crossed between so-called driver aids and driver distraction?  ….and yet they prosecute people for being on their mobiles..?🤔🤔🤔☹️☹️

Thanks NemsisUK. I’ve just tried that and whilst it does work, it then resets itself back once the car is switched off!

All for safety, but these are not legal UK requirements and so there should be an element of choice - as all other manufacturers offer. Ho hum.

Is it one of those settings that needs to be made in the My Settings menu as well? The car knows who is driving by the keyfob?

How’s this for being strange. Every time I turned it off, it defaulted back to on. Had a RX Reserve car last week and turned it off after loading my profile. It stayed off for the 4 days. Then got in my car and logged out and then back in, using the same profile and was disappointed to see it was on - BUT, since it hasn’t alerted and I’ve looked out the left and right windows and put my hand over it and no warning !

That’s very odd. So having tried Nemesis solution and sadly that didn’t work, the next fix is to go back to the dealer, ask to borrow an Rx, adjust my profile, and then get back in the Rz.🤣

It still works for me !  I even covered the camera with my hand - nothing. You could do as I did and get an RX from Lexus Reserve and go on a nice long trip without having to think about charging !

When I got in the car yesterday it required me to log in - no idea why. I logged in and got a driver monitor warning during the drive !
