Hi. I've recently become the owner of a RX450h 2019 and this morning when trying to use the heated mirrors they didn't seem to work. The rear screen cleared okay as they're obviously on the same button. The car has a full Lexus service history, so has the relax warranty, do you think this would be covered?

Many thanks.

Are you sure your RX has heated mirrors...? Are you sure they are not working..? Have you read the relevant part in the manual..?  It would be a pity to book the car into a Lexus garage only to discover that there was a setting you had missed...

All UK grades of the RX series IV have heated mirrors.

Yes, if they are faulty then they would be covered under Relax warranty, but you might get charged a diagnostic fee if it turns out there is nothing wrong. Did you feel the glass after they were turned on for a minute or two to see if they had warmed up? It is unusual for these to fail, especially both of them.

Possibly Could be a Blown Fuse.. Have you checked That...I would think your Model would have Heated Mirrors.. Check your Manual if you have one or go On-line and Check.. You Need to do your Homework before you Go see the Garage.. !!!!!!

Update. I'm a fool, they are working. Colin, your post made me think and yes they do warm up. They were covered in dew that morning and took a while to clear, my previous car cleared within 30 seconds, so I was expecting the same. This morning they did clear but after a mile of driving. I'll just have to get used to them. Thanks for your replies.

I've found that mirror heaters on gen 3 and 4 models take at least a minute or longer to start clearing so sounds normal to me.
