The time has come to farewell to my beloved black horse Lexus RX400H. I really don’t want to sell it but its hard to run 2 cars, specially with high insurance costs nowadays.

I bought this car in Feb 2021 & absolutely love it. She had Full proper Lexus service history & I have kept it as proper service history under my ownership but with independent garages & Lexus specialist. These are not just stamps on book, I have the proper invoice for work carried out with full details.

The last MOT was clean, absolutely no advisories. I keep cars like a family member so always spend the best I can on my cars. Always had yearly service before MOT.

· These cars have common failure of water ingress & that indeed happened with this car as well in 2018, & it was repaired by Lexus Bristol

· Timing Belt & Water pump changed by Lexus in 2019 @ 113K miles ( according to service schedule the next timing belt change should be at 213K miles )

· Catalytic converter stolen in Jan 2023 so straight piped it. I have had 2 MOT’ since and have not been challenged by the garages because this is the secondary cat.

· Upgraded to Osram Night breaker bulbs in April 2024

· Spent 1300 Quid in Feb 2024 on it for full geometry fix, front suspension work & new front tyres, Michelin Cross Climates all around.

Things to point out

· As usual the front and back bumpers have had small knocks

· The interior is generally in good condition for age. Some marks here and there

· One of the front bumper covers got broken so it was replaced with cover from lexus parts direct , its unpainted but its black so doesn’t look too obvious on the bumper.

I am confident that the new owner will not have any mechanical issues with the car & I am still in double mind to somehow keep the car. However the insurance in Birmingham is coming to 1500 QUID a year so I just cannot afford to keep 2 cars ☹

I think about £2300 GBP is a fair price , given that I have spend 1300 quid on it 6 months ago. Please do look up the MOT history as well. It has passed most of its MOT's without any advisories. Reg KM58PYZ
