Painting a bonnet on an NX

Recommended Posts

Some body shops may want to spray more than the bonnet so that the new paint blends in.

Depends on whether you want the cheapest job or the best paint job too.

You cant just paint the bonnet - itll need blending into the wings and bumper

Id expect somewhere between £600-1000 depending on where you are in the country

Dear all - has anyone had their NX bonnet resprayed? If so, what was the cost?

I had a dent in my bonnet after only 1 week from new when a large stone got thrown up onto it on the M1. I was quoted £400 to have the whole bonnet done by a very well regarded local body shop. ChipsAway quoted a similar price. I decided to live with it as it's bound to have more debris thrown at it🙈🙄.

Avoid insurance approved body shops, they have a never ending line of cars to repair ( usually poorly ) so don't care for the general public bringing in a paying job like this.

Find the small local body shop the taxi drivers use, these get work by reputation, word of mouth & will have a long wait to get booked in so will do a decent job.
