Can anyone advise : my new LBX automatically locks the passenger door. It means I have to press the driver’s door button (which has a small light) to unlock it. This is annoying and potentially dangerous (if I needed my passenger to exit the car quickly I wouldn’t want to be faffing around pressing buttons). Anyone know how to change settings so the doors are always unlocked? As usual, the Lexus booklet is completely useless. Thanks.

Hi Kenny.

In the system settings of the car, you will find a submenu about "boarding and exit". There is a few options you can select or deselect to your preferred method of locking or unlocking the car.

In addition, should there be any passenger front or rear of the car, they in theory can unlock the door themselves too as each door has a lock and unlock button. I usually just tell the person in the car with me, it operates differently and that they need to press unlock then push the handle instead of pulling like a conventional car, due to the safety system.

Kenny... You Must be able to Change This Under Settings /Customization .I Would agree with you I Would not want This very Situation Particularly in an Emergency...Try Looking Up The On-line Manual Under Customization..!!!
