Looking for a LC500

Recommended Posts

You really don’t need an exhaust on an LC500, it’s plenty loud enough and pretty much perfect.  I had after markets on my isf and Boxster, and it’s one of the reasons I chose LC.

21” Wheels look great but have a tendency to kerb being so big.

Hard to park “safely” in tiny UK car parks so choose carefully. I’ve been lucky again, but any time I don’t fancy my chances of getting out, or in again, or getting scraped by other cars, I pass.

1st world problems though, it’s an awesome car.  Had mine 3 years now and not put a foot wrong.

Agree with above,

curbing wheels is a worry, local smart repair is possible but not 100% perfect, a full proper repair is expencive and takes around 5 days.

Parking is the main issue with the big wide doors, try to pick a space were you can easily open the door.

I have had mine coming  up to 7 years now, admittedly with low use, millage, but no real problems other than the re calls, fuel pump, fuel flap.

great car and it will be a sad day when i have to let it go. (  the car not being practicable  for my retirement use )

It’s odd but I look at exhausts and mods and so on quite regularly then when I’m actually in the car I always think it’s so well judged it doesn’t need messing with.

What to look out for - trim and colour. Apart from that there are just two factory options. Heads up display with keycard and keyless entry and the Mark Levinson stereo and that’s your lot.

Earlier 17/18 cars have 471 bhp whereas later EU/UK cars have a gas particulate filter that slightly hinders the noise and power - they’re 464 bhp. Everywhere else stuck with the 471 bhp. Post 21 got wired carplay, and very late cars - late 2023 onwards - got 360 degree cameras and a touchscreen and arguably better interface/controls in place of the original better looking (in my opinion) dash and clock, plus different wheels.

Same engine as the ISF/GSF, but a 10 speed gearbox. Do it!
