Unlocking Rear Passenger Doors whilst engine running

I've had my LBX for about 3 weeks and for the first time Friday night we had passengers in the back.

The front seat passenger can unlock their own door by pressing the unlock door button or I can do this too.

I'm not really sure what happened Friday night but I couldn't seem to unlock the rear doors to let them out. I've checked the child safety switch on the rear doors and they are both set to unlocked.

They said they pressed the unlock button but it didn't work for them.

In the end I had to switch the engine off to let them out. I can't imagine this would be a feature where I have to switch the engine off to let rear passengers out of the car.

I could have been pressing the wrong button by mistake but has anyone else experienced this or is it likely just to be user error?

Hi David,

You can adjust the settings to unlock all doors when in P.  I had a similar issue with my NX and my daughter felt very claustrophobic until I changed the default settings.
