IS250 SE-L 2007 AC won't switch off

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Anyone ever had an issue with their AC my compressor not turning off, whether I turn the AC button off or on, its pumping out fully AC'd air even when the cabin tempt is set to 29 degrees. won't switch off and putting icy spots on the front windscreen, It's causing havoc with the windows especially as its so humid right now. Worried that its the CPU, hoping it might be a sensor.

Thanks

James

Potentially it is the clutch on the compressor that is physically stuck on, so even if the system is turned off electrically it will still be running. It would need to be diagnosed, measure the voltage at the clutch to see if it is being electrically switched off/on correctly - or with the car turned off just remove the drive belt and see if manually turning the pulley is also turning the compressor.

That sounds very plausible given what its doing, thank you Sir.
