Lexus IS300H TPMS sensor problem

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, the TPMS light on my Lexus IS300H won’t reset even after inflating the tires and pressing the reset button. When I start the car, the light blinks for a few seconds and then stays on. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, I’ve followed the procedure. I’ve done it before when the tire pressure was low, and the light turned off, but this time it’s not working no matter what I do.

Common fault with older models but rare on newer ones.  Should be covered under warranty as Lexus TPMS sensors aren't cheap and few aftermarket ones work for long (as me how I know!).  Likely a duff TPMS sensor or you have a slow.

I got my car from the dealer, it's a 2021 model, and I have a four-year warranty. But I'm not sure if this issue is covered or not. I need to ask them. I wanted to make sure if there's anything I can do before taking it in.

BTW you have posted this in the IS300 forum (the model from many years ago) rather the one for IS 300h - if you repost there you may get more replies. However, on the issue, as per the manual, having reset the tyre pressures cold to the correct pressure and reset the TPMS, have you then driven the car for about half an hour to see if the TPMS light goes out. If it doesn't them there is a TPMS failure in the car which will probably mean a visit to Lexus to diagnose.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll repost this in the IS 300h forum. I appreciate the advice on the TPMS issue—I'll give it a try and see if the light goes out after driving for a while. If not, I'll definitely head to Lexus to get it checked out.
