Another recall

Just received a letter from Lexus with a recall campaign for the front/rear cameras. Apparently due to insufficient laser welding  of the camera cases there is a possibility the case may separate allowing water to enter and cause the circuit to short which may cause the increased risk of a crash say Lexus. So another 200 mile round trip is on the cards making my 5th visit in less than a year to have problems fixed.

I am sorry to read your post John... I was one of the lucky ones to ask for my £5k back, before the RZ came to the UK... It was for a personal reason, and nothing to do with the car... Sometimes, and only sometimes, I have made the right decision...

If it's any consolidation this isn't an RZ issue. It affects batches of nearly all the models available within the last two years -  RX, NX, UX, LS, ES and RZ.

John - haven’t received my recall yet. I’ll call the dealer in the morning and find out how long they need the car for - hopefully forever !

I have booked my car in for the recall - Dealer will need the car all day as there are 2 recalls - the camera one and also a parking brake one.
