Inverter Water Pump - 2008 GS450h

Hi

I have a 2008 GS450h that is giving the 'check hybrid system' and error code p0a93

I think it is the pump failure as the wiring, fuses and connectors are in reasonable shape. There is coolant in the resevoir and I dont see any movement in fluid when the engine is running.

Car will run ok for 10-15mins and then throw the check engine....

The Lexus dealer pricing for the replacement pump is nearly €600 (Dublin, Ireland) - and thats just for the part.  G9040-30010 

Is there any other parts that might fit  - or cheaper parts suppliers.

Just an update on this - might help someone in the future.

I had the p0a93 code and check hybrid system error. Was fairly sure it was the inverter cooling pump . After removing the pump, it appears that some of the internal electrics on the pump were heavily coroded. 

I replaced it with this 'similar' pump used in various Lexus and Toyota hybrids (but still reasonability priced)
