Hello. I have an RX500h. I have noticed, when putting the accelerator to the floor, either from standing, or a rolling start, it can take a second before power is applied. Anyone lese found this?

Hi Ronnie. Thanks for the reply. I find it odd. I would have though the four electric motors would kick in immediately. Also, it is at least a second, which feels like an age. It doesn't feel or seem right.

I have found this with a few "modern" cars.

I think most cars nowadays are set up for efficiency and maximum MPG (or whatever) so there is a slight delay while the system changes from max. MPG to max. power.

Sport mode if you have it, helps a bit.

Does the power issue happen with progressive acceleration or as you mention 'putting the accelerator to the floor'?
