LS400 REAR ARM ASSEMBLY BOTH SIDES - RARE AS HENS TEETH

Recommended Posts

My driving days are  coming to a close owing to increased co-morbidities and  I will probably be selling my Lexus Cabrio  in the not too distant future.

I have two GENUINE TOYOTA unused Rear Arm Assmbly Upper Control Arms which have sat in the Garage for eight? year.

They are parts number   48770-50010 and 48790-50010  for the Mk 2 1989-1994 LS400.  You won't find them anywhere else. Not Rock Auto or Amayama and so if you want to keep your early Lexus on the road, then these are essential in case the MOT fails your car because of them.

These cost me just under £600 to purchase and I am selling them for this sum. They came from Amayama but are now "discontinued parts".

PM me if you want to buy them.

Stuart

ps I have lots of other new parts but haven't the time to list them.

New old stock, like you say very rare and obsolete.

The only problem I see is there are fewer 92-94 LS400s around ( not sure if they fit the 90-92) and would an owner of one spend that amount of money on a 30+ year old car unless it was a “garage queen” and needed them for an MOT.

My old 1994 still had the originals fitted when I sold it a few years ago, the only suspension parts required were 2 rear springs ( one broken) and a front UCA ( pothole damage) I was fortunate with the latter finding a new OEM one for £120.00 ( £521.00 from Lexus at the time).

If you do find a nice bottle of good vintage Chateauneuf du pape in the garage I’m pretty sure Malc will be interested 😀

You may be right Steve, but  I see many examples of people spending that sort and way beyond on the air matic on Mercs.

My old Jalopy is certainly not a Garage Queen but the reliability of the engine is key to my keeping it on the road.  I had the Air-con serviced and regassed last Friday even though I'll likely only drive it 7 miles to Clacton Hospital.  A Taxi trip would cost me not much less.  The cars condition has deteriorated in my ten years ownership. Rust on wheel arches, lacquer peels and not to mention the Hail dents I haven't managed to get around too. Got the puller and got the coded paint but........I've given the car a bit of character (flashy Dash Panel) and as the MOT is until December I'll keep it until  ????  The next owner could replace the rear screen if they can find a glass replacement, without too much trouble. Meantime its holding up very well.

If Chateauneuf du pape was in my Garage it would certainly be undrinkable. Wife and I spent a few days in an Artists Garret in a place called Chateuneuf in the Burgundy Region. Wanted to see the Hospice de Beaune as I recall.

I guess both my Ls400s strategically fall either side in spares needs, if and whenever 🤔

And whilst I live not far, Sheppey that island in Kent …….. as that crow flies across the seas …… the car journey time is a little tortuous and over 100 miles or maybe 2+hrs to the Clacton you mention ………

Your Ls400 should readily pass its next MOT ……. fingers 🤞
