Hello Mellow Fembers,

Need input. I bought my lovely 450h earlier this year from an Arnold Clark Renault franchise. It has a full service history at an Edinburgh Lexus franchise. My question is simple……..have I any right to see a clear and concise print out of everything recorded as having been done to this car, or can they just tell me to ugger  boff…?

Furramore the Arnie dealership did a  service on it prior to my taking delivery. Does the fact they are not a Lexus franchise negate the rolling warranty of ten years if serviced by Lexus.

Thanks in advance of any help…….grown to love the Big Beastie

The Service History is available online on the Lexus website if you create an account and register the vehicle.  It's very top-level though and does not detail everything, eg for my car just states a Service was undertaken whereas the invoice shows Air Con Service and Tracking was also undertaken.

The Renault Service doesn't negate the Relax warranty, but equally won't count towards it so you will need to ensure you have a Lexus Service within the 12-months / 10,000 mile limit.

Hi Kev

Needs to be serviced by a Lexus dealer for the 10 yr rolling warranty to be effective as far as I am aware. You should also get a hybrid health check done.

Lexus Edinburgh are superb to deal with. They should be able to give a history of previous services if these were carried out by them or indeed any other Lexus franchised dealer. I assume you have a fully stamped service book?

Car looks great! Happy motoring.

Forsooth thou hast imparted sad tidings upon me, Oor Andra. I am now truly time barred and should have checked in with y’all before. Had a stroke just after getting Big Beastie so not been my usual switched on self. Gubberit.

Kev once my Lexus was registered in my name the local dealer emailed me the cars Lexus history .

I’m sure any dealer can provide this information so try another dealer, maybe one south of the border  😉😉

Most likely you would only have cover from the Arnold Clark warranty for the time being until you have the next service done at which point it will go back to the Lexus Relax warranty.

Lexus dealer should be able to tell you exactly what its had done.

Cheer Bob….hope all ok with you and the gang.. Loving the big 3.5 and its two lekky helpers, but will never adjust to these seats. Lost three stones so the seat padding somewhat less.
