Personally. I don't think there is too much wrong with the UK. A little tweaking might be needed.

1.Better Education

2. Better Healhcare

3.Better Transportation

4.Better Policing

5.Better Housing

6.Better Defence

7. Better Goverment

The State Pension as defined in law is a benefit not an entitlement, therefore can be changed /withdrawn at any time. The fact that you paid in to increase your income is neither here nor there. But I equally agree like the WASPI women should go on for a while. 👍

Having served on His Majesty’s submarines for a decade I can say without doubt that it will spend more time in port broken down than at sea.  Good riddens too, less chance of it turning into a coffin. Even if it’s new, will be rammed with old Russian tech that will be poorly maintained.

The Americans will be all over it like a rash so it’s as good as impotent anyway.

The Topic is Winter Fuel Payment.    Just remember all MP's receive £3,400 a year towards their fuel bills for their house or houses on top of their over inflated salary.  So when the 10 million Pensioners who lose their paltry £300 allowance at least your MP will be nice and cosy.

This is not the first 'stinky' contradiction from govts when it comes to policy. Do we want to talk about pensions rights?

Sincerely, who is in control of the political 'trough' ? You would struggle to think there was any oversight at all looking at the benefits they enjoy.

Not quite sure whose comments you are responding to Nick? Clearly not mine. Never heard of Meidas Touch but the Media Bias fact checking site says: "Overall, we rate MeidasTouch Left Biased based on the negative portrayal of Donald Trump and Republicans and the promotion of Democratic candidates.
