Has anyone replaced their Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres recently? It appears that Pilot Sport 4S and Pilot Sport 5 are the suggested alternatives from Michelin.

I changed all my tyres to Michelin PS4S from the original super sports towards the end of last year & wished I’d done it sooner.  Better all round & much quieter & smoother.

It was between the PS4S & the Continental Sport Contacts 7’s at the time, both had great reviews, but decided on Michelins as great all round with better wear, rather than the better performance in the wet you get from the Continentals.  I don’t push my car particularly hard, so was that was the decider for me.

Others on here have made the move to the Continentals & are very happy with them, so I’m sure which ever tyre you choose from the latest crop will be an improvement over the older super sports.

I did have both on my RCF (ps4s and conti 7). Both great, Michelin better wear. Performance the same and didn’t feel the difference as I’m far from being a professional  driver. I have never tried ps5 yet and very curious.

On my ISF I just installed Goodyear assy 6 few days ago and they are the best all rounders so far and very quiet.

I had the Goodyear Assy 6 on my Civic and they were brilliant!  Used Assy 3 on the ISF but the 6 is miles better…

Ive made the move from Supersports to PS5 and they are also extremely good.  I had the PS4S previously and have yet to find the limits of the PS5, even in poor weather.  They have been on for around 10k miles and I still have around 4mm at the rear. Saves £200 for a set and although I’m sure they aren’t quite as performance orientated as the PS4/5S, I’ve yet to notice.  The car gets a good hammering regularly too.

Will fit them again…..
