Hi all,

New to this group and this is my first post.

I just received my car on last Friday, an approved used car from Lexus in London.  A 73 Lexus NX450h+. The car travelled 400 miles all the way to my home, and the indicator showed only 67 miles left to refill. I then went to the petrol station and fill up the tank. Surprisingly, I can only top up to 36 Litre then stop, a few more try still up to 36.XX L maximum. The oil tank should be 55L capacity, according to the indicator, I only have one left which means suppose I can fill up at least 40-50L, at least 45 L minimum....? Is it something weird?

The estimated remaining mileage is very conservative to try and prevent running out of fuel.

Assume you mean Petrol tank and not oil capacity 😉

This was covered extensively in a post by Tickedon in November last year. It's title is, ""NX 450h+ fuel tank capacity? Missing 23 litres…" but, in essence,  Andrew is right, gauge is very conservative.

My car is going in to Lexus next week for them to investigate this issue.

Most I have ever put in our car has been 40 litres, having forcibly driven it down to 0 miles range.  In my 2 years of ownership I normally get a range (excluding EV) of 320-360 miles for 36 litres.

Sorry I put the update on the original "Missing 23 litres" thread and forgot to link back to this one - basically they ran a procedure to recalibrate the fuel gauge and the range went up.  I need to run it to the reserve level again and report back - should be end of the month .  Thread below:
