Remote Climate Control/Opening-closing of car

Recommended Posts

Hi
Lexus Connected Service includes Remote Climate Control.
I have the Lexus Link + app.
Where can these functions be found?

Regards,
Armand

Go into the Lexus Link + app, then in the My Garage page (first icon, bottom left if it's not there by default) you'll see an image of your car with the mileage, fuel and range below, then underneath that are the icons for remotely controlling the climate system and switching the hazard lights on.

Hello Mincey

On the bottom page I see 5 icons, ' my garage', route, notifications, personal settings and support.

This service is advertised on the Lexes website. I will give than a call.

Thanks for both answers.

Armand

Well colour me surprised, I thought all the remote functions were nerfed in the UK? Can we do remote starts then?

Not remote starts - just turning the a/c and hazards on. Turning the hazards on is a great step forward. One day I'll forget where I've parked Cordelia and being able to switch her hazards on will help me find her amongst the sea of other red ES300s.... ;-)

I've just picked up a 2024 Premium, and I can confirm the functions to start the climate system (for 20 minutes) and operate the hazard lights are included (even on the base model, which the Premium is, despite its name), and work well.

You can lock and unlock the vehicle too, but locking it that way does not appear to enable the alarm; a consequence of this is that you can only unlock it with the remote control if you locked it the same way. Tbh I can't see any real use for that function anyway!

The vehicle sends a message to the app if you have left the car unlocked. If you are away from the car, that's when the ability to lock it via the app is useful.

And there's also an alert if you haven't closed one of the doors properly. I was just about to start my weekly food shop earlier today when I had a message to say Cordelia's drivers' door was open.

I get the car unlocked and door open warnings on the app but l don't see any way of locking the car or hazard light option on my 2022 premium edition.

This is what I get:

You're definitely using the Lexus Link + app and not the old one?

Yes Lexus link+

Very odd. Is it worth disconnecting it from the car, uninstalling and trying again?

I'm willing to try anything. What do you mean by 'disconnecting it from the car'? Is it more complicated than just removing the app and reloading it? FYI my wife has LL+ on her phone and it only works like mine.

I was thinking that if you got your car to forget you then recreated the account after reinstalling the app, it might work. It's odd that your wife's phone is the same. Might be worth contacting the dealer before doing anything drastic perhaps?

I think that the remote climate function only came with Model Year 23, with the revised Navigation unit.

Good point: I think you've nailed it there - Betsy didn't have that option.
