Hi all, I have been thinking about upgrading the head unit in my 2008 SEL, I have been looking at the Teyes cc3 2k unit, but I have recently come across a system called Drive Connect Ultra

There has been a lot of content regarding the Teyes, but I haven't seen much on the Drive Connect Ultra system, I have looked at a couple Youtube videos on it, those that have them seem to be very pleased with the system, but they have been fitted to a non nav unit without the reversing camera and ML audio spec, has anyone fitted one of these with the the nav and ML system? Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated. Here is the link to the unit, it is also available on Aliexpress. Thanks

2G 32GB is a pretty weak spec for the price tag..

I've ordered a 4G 32GB unit for £160 from aliexpress. Same as the one you're looking at. Works fine, no issues. It's not my first AliExpress head unit, always happy with it to be honest. I really don't see the benefit of ordering through resellers that double the price just because it may be in the UK already.

Thanks for your reply, to be honest, I was looking at getting the 4G 64GB spec, the car your put the head unit in, does it have the ML set up and the sat nav and reversing camera? Thanks

Yeah that's better. That being said I did have 2G 32 in my previous one and it was absolutely fine for my use. I only used the carplay feature. I don’t know what it would be like if you were to play Netflix or something on it.

Nope, mine doesn't have the M&L & camera, but you can put the aftermarket camera in place of the original one as it's gonna have a way better resolution.

The only trouble is that some head units weren't compatible with M&L cars, you can easily check with them before ordering but I think the main issue were facelift cars. So 2008 should be compatible just fine. Like I said, worth messaging the seller prior to purchasing.
