Excellent …….. unless you’re the proud owner of one already and seeing a super dooper instant further £7k flight of your car’s value …….. that might seem utter krap and devastating news 🥵

What happens when your PCP is up and the GFV is a lot more than the current trade in price, do you just hand them the keys and walk away?

Correct.

It's rare that it happens as most PCP's have a rather conservative GFV, but it is an added form of protection against going into negative equity.

It's rare that it happens unless you buy an RZ.  In my case the GFV is over 12k higher than the current trade in price. A lot can happen before the PCP ends next May but it will definately be in negative equity.

You do not have ANY negative equity on a pcp , you just hand the car back, the Finance House takes the loss when they throw it into BCA  ( British Car Auctions )

£7000 of a new one will again hammer the value of nearly new ones and ex demonstration models…..

My lease runs out in Jan 2024 and Kinto will take a heavy loss on thier set residual , especially as mine is the lower range model 185 ( sorry 140 in winter !!! )

I feel very sorry anybody who recently bought new UX electric or RZ electric 🥲🥲🥲
