Has anyone tried to fit a bicycle - specifically an electric mountain bike in the boot of their NX350?

I guess I'll have to take the front wheel off, but I'd rather not install a tow bar or roof rack. I did have the foresight to order the rubber bootliner, however!

My ordinary mountain bike fits in without having to remove the front wheel. I too have a rubber boot-liner but it doesn't cover the back of the seats when they are flat. Lidl were selling a rectangle of rubber (as a boot protector) that does the job. It is a little flimsy on the down side but on the upside, it does the job of protecting against the dirt and folds up neatly when not in use.

I just take the front wheel off on our 450. It only takes a couple of minutes if that. This way I know that the headlining won’t get damaged. Best to use a spacer that fits into the front caliper on the bike so that you don’t accidentally pull the brake lever when lifting in & out.

Take the Battery pack out first to lighten the weight and make sure you put it in derailleur facing upwards to avoid any damage to that.

It all sounds like a bit of a faff but it is quite simple and non time consuming once you get the hang of it

Thanks a lot, guys. I'll just take the front wheel off as advised and lay derailleur side up as recommended.

I take the lower pedal off to avoid denting the back of the seats and have put cardboard down before now.

Good idea. Thanks. I'd even want to protect the rubber liner such is my level of care and affection for my car.
