Supercharger sound on is250

Hi all,

 

Had my is250C (2010) for about 2yrs now and been very happy with it so far, last week I have hit 60k miles.

Recently I have noticed a sound whilst accelerating and putting my foot all the way down on the gas pedal, sort of like a whining/supercharged sort of noise, Im pretty sure it hasnt been there before, I have come across few topics in regards to this but couldnt find any obvious conclusions.

Has it ever happened to anyone else before?

Any ideas?

I would guess on it being something associated with the drive belt/serpentine belt.

The bearings in one of the pulleys could be bad, or one of the components that are driven by the belt - water pump, alternator or AC compressor, could be on the way out and causing the noise.

check on the alternator too - mine was having a whine sound before it gave up
