Drainage holes cleaning instrument query

Recommended Posts

Does anyone clean their own windscreen / sunroof drain holes (not sure what the correct nomenclature is)? If you do, can you point me in the direction of where I can buy one please as I don’t know what diameter I should be sourcing.

My poor father can’t get my NX350h into his garage and is sat outside in the driveway right by a cherry blossom tree. I’m convinced this was the reason why my previous car developed electrical problems and dampness to its interior.

Is the cleaning something the service normally takes care of? I suspect no is the answer.

Euan hi …….. no idea about your model but there’s several useful posts about Ls400 sunroof drain holes clearance if you can search there ….. and if relevant

Good luck

You suspect correctly, it is not.

The most often mentioned 'tool' for clearing drainage holes/tubes is net curtain wire, flexible but strong enough to shift blockages..

Thanks, fellas. I purchased a tool for £3 off eBay. Hopefully it will do the job. More importantly I will set a reminder to clean out the drain lines at the beginning and end of autumn.
