It’s that time of year again - Insurance renewal

I’ve had good bad and indifferent over the years on various cars with the worst being Churchill, they may be the cheapest as that is because they take months to process a no fault claim, and even when they pay out compensation (I received a £250 cheque) they cancel the cheque.

Has anyone got any recommendations for insuring the NX350h Takumi?

My renewal is due at the end of this month.

  1. NFU. With the car being MY24 it should have the latest security package and NFU do follow Thatcham standards. We found them very competitive on our NX450h+ Takumi and they have an excellent reputation plus an excellent telephone quote. We actually got a rebate when we changed from a RAV4 🙂

Give Aviva a try. Were competitive when I had my NX and I continue to use them for my RX.

I went through Confused and ended up with Aviva.

I changed from Privilege and saved £300 😀

A second for NFU. They weren't the cheapest when I was looking around, but I can do face to face with them in the local office; also, no charges for changing the policy. If you like to pay monthly (I Do) they don't charge interest.

When I got the NX, the policy went down slightly from my RAV4 premium.

I went with Saga for my new NX - they have a 3 levels of cover but think you have to be over 50.

I went with LV=, they quoted lower than Aviva and also seem to have a good reputation for customer service.

I was with LV for a few years but was appalled by the renewal price after two no-fault accidents.

My insurance went up 196% in a year with no claims. So went somewhere else and still paid £100s more. Like I said on another earlier post tried Lexus insurance and it was no good, tried Adrian and also no good. These insurance companies seem to have the right to put up the premiums as they like. Good luck
