Lexus CT200h 'egr a flow insufficient detected'

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have a 2010 Lexus CT200h with 109,00 miles on the clock.

Unfortunately the EML light is on and the machine reads this 'egr a flow insufficient detected'.

I have cleaned out throttle body, the intake manifold, replaced the egr cooler, cleaned the small metal pipe. The only thing I did not replace is the egr valve as was replaced few months ago and looks brand new. It is not sticking or anything.

I am stuck on this issue and anyone can help me to solve would be great.

Thanks all.

@Irbaaz give priuschat a go. Our CT has the same engine and trans as gen 3 prius.

Fingers crossed is not a head gasket but please keep us updated on your findings!

UK (and Europe) has not seen as many HG issues as the US but you never know as your passed the 100k mark + 14 years.

Thank you.

The oil is not burning and there is no sign of any oil leaks. Coolant is not leaking either. I am confused as I have changed almost everything except the egr valve.

Would it be worth unplugging the 12v Battery for a while and seeing if that resets anything on the cars computer as perhaps this is one of those faults that gets triggered, then takes a certain amount of time or miles to be re-assessed and cleared?  (shooting in the dark here)
