Remote Parking and Adaptive high beam experiences

A quick question to those LBX owners who own the top spec models fitted with Lexus's Advanced Park system that has Remote Parking feature whereby you can park the car using the Lexus App standing outside the car to park it into tight spaces, does this function work well based on your experience?

In addition does the Adaptive high beam system  (where it keeps the high beams on all the time over a certain speed and specific driving conditions), work well in blocking out the area of the car in front of you or any on coming cars?

Appreciate any feedback or experiences you have had with these features so far.

The remote parking using the app doesn’t seem to be working in the UK yet, or if it is it’s nowhere on the app. The self parking that you use pushing the button inside works extremely well tbh, but I don’t know when I would ever use it.

I’ve only driven the car at night once due to the time of the year, and that was in town. The headlights were impressive as it kept the left beam on when traffic was coming but dipped the right. Worked perfectly.

My LBX also has the cornering lights which are separate from the fog lights and angled outwards, these were really useful pulling into the drive etc as the light went out to the sides.

Hi Tim,

It’s on the centre console next to the camera button so lower right under the screen by the hazard lights. It’s a good system as you choose yr space and it does everything itself. Don’t even need to keep foot on brake pedal.

I'm not sure self parking is a thing. Sounds like a huge liability for a car company, you'd at least have to have a human behind the wheel ready to take over when the ai tries to delete you.

We took the car to a remote car park this afternoon to practise using the auto-park function.  Amazing!  It seems to work better when there are clearly marked parking bays.  We were most impressed - if slightly spooked by it!  It requires complete trust in the technology, which requires a huge leap of faith.

Just to report back, as a few have mentioned the remote advanced park assist using your mobile phone is still not available in Europe it seems, along with sending destinations from the phone app to car. So not sure why Lexus even try to market these features?

Having tried the park assist features extensively myself now, it does a stellar job! Very impressed, compared to our BMW (granted it's a 2021 model and tech has moved on) which needs 2 objects, so that the system can work out where and if it can park. With the "entry level" Lexus, it can park any selected space that has defined lines without any objects or cars needed.

The adaptive headlights are also okay, wouldn't say amazing, but are a nice to have feature making driving at night a little easier.

As I'm still waiting for my LBX I'm shocked to read that some of the features clearly mentioned in their brochure are still unavailable in Europe. How's that possible? Has anyone asked their dealer when they will be available in Europe ? This is very disappointing.

To be fair could be country dependant, but in Austria we are not allowed the remote climatisation function which is only allowed for our EV cars, but seems its allowed in the rest of Europe.

I have written to Lexus directly to ask for this info over 2 weeks ago..... still waiting to hear from them and not even an acknowledgement of my email.

Hello everyone

Embarrassed to report that remote park assist, which is where you can park the car remotely using your mobile phone is available in Continental Europe (Would be keen to hear if it can be done in UK using info below). Found this out reading some German colleagues who reported it was.

This would be in the top spec models like Takumi Design and if optioned as part of a pack, but the actual remote park function does not show up in the Lexus Link + app we have, which makes one believe it does not exist. Most of the tutorials on line featuring this show other Lexus models based in the US where it seems you can launch it from. Not in Europe (suppose for legal and liability reasons???)

You have to download a second app, called "Remote Park Europe" (seems to be part of Toyota Corp) which you then link your car via Bluetooth to your phone.  I have tried it now a few times and it works and to be honest is mind blowing to witness. Especially in car of this price range.

Hi Terry, Thanks however I am not referring to Auto Park system that is activated with the button you mention beneath the screen. This I am aware of and have used many times.

I am referring to physically not being in the car, and using your Mobile phone to park the car in tight parking spaces where you may not be able to get in and out known as Remote Park Assist.

Sadly, I can’t find an app of this description in the apple store on my UK Iphone.
