Still can not connect wifi hotspot

Recommended Posts

Ok I have tried.  I have reset the phone, deleted the connection and reconnected at both ends.

Ever since I changed my phone I can not get it to connect to wifi.

I even have an app on the phone when it connects to the cars Bluetooth, it should start a hot spot.  Its a 2 year old samsung android.

Is this just me or does anyone else have this issue.

It does see the internal wifi hotspot but that subscription expired years ago and the phone has no issue with wifi else where.

Any thoughts?  and yes I did RTFM.

I believe mobile phone hotspots are not very well compatible with MM19 systems anymore with up to date versions of android.  I mean, it should connect the first time, but the car will not reconnect without you typing in your password each time so it cannot be automated as you require.

The internal hotspot will work without retyping the passwords but Lexus Link "plus" (which I think we are now all forced on to) removes the hotspot subscription capability.

ohhh so its free now?

Ahhh.... Sorry for the misunderstanding. Removal of the hotspot subscription capability unfortunately does not make it free (that would be nice).  It has simply stopped the hotspot working altogether!! At least it has in my case....
