I have to use a top up regularly – my wheels (the drop centres) need a serious clean and new sealant.

I plug in the 15W inflator only in one of the two 120W sockets (front lower or cargo bay) and occasionally it works very well – the bladder rocks away filling the tyre (not very quickly, mind you).

But mostly, the inflator chugs very slowly as if its motor is acutely under powered.

I thought it was to do with whether the ICE was running or not. And I think there is a correlation. I assume that the draw if from engine via the aux Battery (and not hybrid).

Make sure the car is in the Ready state and all electrical power will come from the hybrid Battery.

My neighbour uses an electric pump and it takes an absolute age to correct the pressures. I use a foot pump, job done in minutes.

Yes, the foot pump makes sense. Will get wheels seen to or tubes. Thanks

I find that a track pump gets the job done quickly

I also use a track pump works quite well,I have a spacesaver tyre it takes a bit more effort as it rates at 4.2 bar.

I use one of these Michelin inflators. It's great and takes no time at all, even on a very flat tyre.

Don't let the price put you off. Shop around and you can get one for about half that amount.

I use a RING RAC635 tyre inflator.  Works well and has lasted 10 years now.  Still available from the RAC shop for around £35.  Not seen a cordless one that works as well yet.  For beefy performance the £85 RING RAC830 is one of the best ones imho.
