Parts of significance will be an issue BUT I know that longevity of those original OEM parts from Amayama RockAuto whatever are 100 - 175k miles —— suspension whatever

And that’s almost, or indeed more than a lifetime for most of us driving and owning these amazing cars …… Luck will be on our side I’m sure  👍

Fingers Xd we’ll still be driving our cars until we don’t wish to anymore ……. and when we do need those significant spares I’m sure we’ll be finding them somewhere ……. pleeeeeease 🤞🤞🤞

Was gone today. Was a silver 2001 model and looked very nice. Parked next to a bodywork/paint shop.

Any others with a Mk1 and thinking about insurance renewal time ?  Bearing in mind there's only said to be 40 left on our roads !

Mine's imminent, well 16th August and I'm seeing unchanged risk/circumstances and Fully Comp cover rising to    £455    from   £ 264   last year with Sterling Insce

Other quotes coming in at @ £ 16/1700 with Chris Knott who I would trust I know

Footman James won't insure me coz it's not garaged whatever

I was with Lancaster for years, around £200, then for a bit of fun, I tried Confused.com - ended up paying £98 for the year with Optima (Ageas), and got 12 car washes at £7 each, and 12 coffees at £3 each as Confused rewards. As they say over the pond - do the math....Of course, I'm not gonna put my LS through a machine car wash but still, someone in the family is using them 😜

Thank you so much for this Paul …….. I’ve done the suggested Confused exercise and lo and behold ……. my existing insurer Sterling, at the same price comes up trumps ( all bar a few pence ) ……. must be a first eh !

Looks like last years price was a real bargain 🤣😂

I was reading Lexus sold a million in the USA during its time

You were widely misinformed.

It’s possible that worldwide sales of the LS are now near 1 million - in 2012 the figure was at 730,000 but the LS doesn’t sell anywhere near what it once did.
