I have an RX450h Premier with the 20" wheels and the ride isn't the best. I realise it's a heavy car with low profile tyres, but is there anything suspension wise to make the ride a bit softer?

You need to take a peek at  Mossypossys recent post. I blame it on all the bad weather recently.

Is this the air suspension? I have that in my 2009 RX450h and I find, as some others have said elsewhere, that the ride is quite hard, but a bit of weight in the back really softens it all up. A couple of bags of sand or a couple of boxes of books (daughter has just moved out!) make a lot of difference.

No idea why, possibly something to do with the sensors for the amount of "squash" in the airbags. Or just slowing down the rebound.

I have 19" wheels, so the tyre profile is 55.

If you're on springs, then good luck to you, and enjoy the cost of your lovely cheap shockers when they need replacing. Air struts are £1,000 per corner, plus fitting. You can guess how I know...

I don't think this is a 3rd Gen Premier as they came with 19" not 20" wheels and the 4th Gen Premier like other 4th Gen models no longer offered air suspension.

I under inflate my 3rd Gen RX 450h 19" tyres a little as I find them too hard.  I could fit 18" as fitted on some earlier models and may look for a decent used set and put the 19" ones back when I eventually sell.

Would be very interested to hear if you do this and whether it makes a big improvement as I often think of doing this on mine with 19 inch wheels and air suspension
