Check ECB as well as the Hybrid System signs on dash

I have had the car  for about 6 months, The odd thing came up on the dash ie- Check VSC then about a two months later Check hybrid system showed up then about another month later Check hybrid system. I have also found that the remote will not open the boot/trunk you have to use the key to open it.

I found something out about the hybrid batteries that when Toyota decided to go hybrid they decided to give a warranty for the batteries of 150,000 miles guarantee.

will follow this as I have had mine about 9 months, I'm unsure but I thought the guarantee was for so many years and mileage. Have you got a current Lexus hybrid inspection  certificate, i understood these were important and can only be issued yearly by the dealer. Hope someone with more knowledge comes on to help !

With a hybrid healthcheck undertaken every 10k miles / 12 months (whichever comes soonest) by Lexus (free as part of a service or paid for separately) the hybrid Battery is warrantied for 15 years with unlimited mileage - without the hybrid healthcheck though no such warranty.

Is your car running normally despite the messages? I had a 2006 450h and I once had both of these messages but I remembered at the time it happened having previously read an old post on this site that said something along the lines of cycling through starting and stopping the car in quick succession and it could clear them. Typically I can't find that post now but it did work for me. 

What is the condition of your 12v Battery? If this is on the way out it can also result in some strange messages being thrown up.

With regard to the warranty for the hybrid Battery, it's as @wharfhouse has stated but unfortunately as you state your car is a 2008 model this warranty would no longer apply.

I think you have accidentally pressed the 'Luggage security' button in the glove box. If this system is activated it does exactly what you describe. It's easily done and many on here have done it in the past (including me).

New Question,

On the dash there is a signal telling me that the brakes are in need of a change, we ordered and purchased the Disc brakes we noticed there was about 5mm of the pads still to go, but we changed them all anyway, as there is no cables.
