The intrusion alarm has gone off in the last 2 nights at around 12 midnight and 11 pm tonight. Anyone faced similar issues and how was it resolved?

Also Spoke with Lexus Edinburgh after the first night who asked me to connect again if it happens again. Is this covered under warranty and will any diagnostic charges be incurred?

I did check and can’t find any insect. It’s been 3 days straight now. Wondering when my neighbours might start taking offence. I think it has to be an insect as it is happening at the same time every day at around dusk. Should I go for fumigation ?

I had this happen and sprayed inside well  for as long as I could hold my breath before making my escape.  I must admit I couldn't drive the car for a couple of days afterwards, the smell was so bad, but it stopped the alarm going off!  You would think that what must have been a small insect would not so easily trigger the alarm as this must have happened  to quite a number of people.

Mine went off last night twice,  I checked the 12v Battery voltage and even though it seemed ok I put it on charge as that can be another cause for the alarm going off. I have had insects as well in the past setting it off.

Yes get a 'smart' Battery charger..  There are of course many charges on the market  but like me most mentioned here  have the CETK (Model 5. in my case). The beauty of this is that is doesn't matter if you forget it 'cos it will drop charge right down (although it's not a fast charger anyway and can be left in place.  It has modes for free flow lead acid and AGM batteries;  (reconditioning to a degree) and even for motor cycles

You need to get a battery charger on it, or give the car a good run, leaving it in ‘ready’ mode for an hour will also help.

There is zero benefit in taking it for a run.  It’s a time function, not a distance function.  Just leave it in READY mode.

If the run was for over an hour and could be incorporated in an existing travel plan it would give the Battery the same charge, kills two birds with one stone as they say. Or like I said leave it in ready for at least an hour.

Srishail this has happened to me just like you. Looks like its happened to quite a few others as well. I posted about mine. Anyway it will most likely be a little critter moving about. To stop the alarm going off you can turn the internal sensor off this will give the neighbors a good nights sleep leave it like that for a couple nights or a week until the critter has removed itself or you have found it. Never heard of the 12v Battery causing it to go off thats a new one on me. Seems to be a few issues around 12v batterys. Goodluck.

Maybe summat metallic in the centre console / arm rests  causing this alarm issue ?

this was often the age-old reason in the Ls400 ……. might it apply to you ?

I had the same issue with intermittent alarm going off , initially I thought it may be triggering it from my Bluetooth and my home WIFI signals , took it to the garage and found out the issue is to do with :replacing the ultrasonic sensors for a Lexus alarm system, also if you don't drive the car for a period then Battery also goes flat .

Just to give you a indicative figure from the dealers to replace is about £1.115.40..
