Sat Nav Confusement

Recommended Posts

I promise, guys….I have tried to RTFM, but ended up more confused. Is there a secret way to just enter a destination’s post code without having to type in the full and concise bliddy postal address…? Some addresses are War and Peace long, and all previous Satnavs I have had just required post codes to get started. Any advice apprecificated. I make up words too.

On mine, you just select destination, and where it says "address" there's a section for postcode (no "page 2" on mine).  Just type it in and off you go.  You can also use apple play or android, hook up your phone and use apple or Google Maps which give a better system anyway.  My lexus satnav got me lost before deciding it was lost the other day and I don't trust it to use it any more.  I just use apple maps or Waze.

MM13 and MM15 have the post code entry on page 2.  MM17/19 have postcode as part of the address section (which must be what you have, Paul).  I think OP's 2018 RX will have MM15?

I don't trust my Lexus sat nav either. It appears to draw a straight line between start and destination and then take you down the most obscure farm cart tracks it can find! Definitely not to be used if towing a caravan. my van has the scars to prove it!
