Gaazzared Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I have still not had the update or if I have I haven’t had to log back in.

Gaazzared Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Just got in the car tonight and I have had to login to my profile. So I take it I have had the update. one question does OTA updates still update if vehicle is turned off and parked up because mine has been at work all day.
Andy B Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Just wanted to bump this topic up to see if anyone on here has had definitive proof that this OTA update has been performed on their car. I've seen no visual indication on mine (although I don't use the remote start / remote climate control functions that the update was designed to fix). As far as I can see under the Software Update part of the Lexus Interface, there is nothing to suggest that it has been done. Also, the (seemingly) associated installation of the Proactive Driving Assist feature that @jmc24x mentioned definitely hasn't happened on my 2022 NX. Has anyone who uses the remote functions noticed that any previous problems with them have been fixed by the update?
Scotlex Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Still no update here as far as I am aware. I am due a service soon and may ask dealer (if I remember 😅). 1

I don't think there is anyway of us confirming the OTA update has occurred, just blind faith. Regarding the PDA feature, I believe that appeared on my 2023 NX when it went in for a recall for the Forward Recognition Camera last month. I only realised when I saw the option appear on the Driver Assist options screen. It was turned off by default but remains on once activated. 1
SA1 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 No updates available on mine and the 2024 update (post 1040 versions) is no longer being offered in the car, so it was either pulled or time limited
BonzoSPB Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I've had my NX450+ since March 2023 and as far as I can see haven't had any notification of any updates.

I may have been a bit premature with my earlier post as I now have the Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) feature enabled on my 2022 NX350h. I'm still not sure about the OTA update designed to fix the remote start and climate control functionalities though but I don't use those features anyway. It's possible that the PDA feature was enabled when I took the car to the dealers for the recent front camera recall work. It was only a few days ago that I noticed I had a fourth "page" when checking the option to view all of the driving assist features via the multimedia screen (icon with the 6 dots). I assumed before that if I had PDA it would appear grouped with the other 8 similar driving assist features but lo and behold it shows on the fourth page all on it's own. So if anyone else on here is looking for it - that's where to look. With regards to PDA itself, I'm still getting used to it. When approaching the car in front, it does seem to slow the car down a lot sooner than I would normally (either by pressing the brake or simply just taking my foot off the accelerator and "coasting" for a bit). Not sure what the long term effects (if any) of using PDA will have on the longevity of my brakes\discs and overall MPG as it does brake more "aggressively" than I would normally.

Wondering if this is a Spec thing as I can't seem to find the option on my NX450h FSport 2022. Might it be Takumi only? If not, can you share a screenshot of what your see?

I'm happy to share a screenshot of what I see but probably won't be in the car until Monday now.
hintonwood Posted September 20 Posted September 20 @bgbI had the Forward Camera recall this week and the PDA has appeared for me in page 4 of the Driving Assist menu. i just photographed pages 3 and 4 for you.
jmc24x Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Apologies I've not been active on the forums. I recently visited my local Lexus dealership for the free tracker installation and the ZGG78 Display Audio Reprogramming Recall and noticed that I received the CarPlay update. The head unit is version 2230 which is the newest version I've seen anywhere online. Below are the pictures of the version and CarPlay update. Not sure if the CarPlay update was part of the recall or the dealership loaded the supposed OTA update into the car but thankful to receive it anyway.
stepppy Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I think the CarPlay update you are seeing is due to iOS 18 rather than Lexus updating it. Mine changed to the later design when I updated my Iphone to iOS 18. Interesting you have had a tracker fitted as I understood the 350h was not applicable to the update, unless it is where yours is an early 2022 model?

I had the free tracker fitted last week by the Reading dealer when they were trying to fix my bricked nav system (trying being the word). My NX is a 24 reg MY25 model. I just asked about it when I booked the work a month ago.

The ability to hide or show the native Lexus Interface sidebar alongside CarPlay is indeed enabled by a software update from Lexus. I've seen reports of NX owners in North America getting it a while ago. Looks useful I guess. Currently not available for us Android Auto users though. 2

There does seem to be a lot of inconsistency on which cars they will it will not fit the tracker too.

Ahhh, I completely missed that in the screenshots - missing Lexus icons. I must check mine and see what it is like, but I don’t remember seeing them before ….

Yeah, CarPlay users (once they get this particular OTA update from Lexus) will get the option to hide or show the Lexus Interface sidebar icons when the screen is running CarPlay. This is achieved by pressing the "expand\collapse" icon that appears at the top of the CarPlay sidebar. Makes it quicker to jump out of CarPlay and go to the Lexus Interface functions. Not sure if that functionality will be coming for Android Auto as well but as an AA user, I'm not fussed either way. 1

Yeah I very rarely collapse the CarPlay menu (only when I need to check my tyre pressures) so you’re not really missing out on AA.

Just checked mine and I thought I had never seen the Lexus items whilst in CarPlay, but I don’t have a collapse button? Happy with my set up, so I’m not going fiddling 🫣
Gaazzared Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Been in touch with my dealer today and they are telling me that there is no update and I should be on the latest version. I don’t think I have had a software update since I have had the car over a year ago.

To be fair, the dealer didn’t specify that my car will get the CarPlay update when it went in for the Tracker Installation and the Display Audio Programming Recall.
