I’ve been looking for a luxury saloon since Christmas. I’ve driven and discounted Audi, BMW, Jaguar, and DS.

I’m now looking at Lexus.

Would this be a good purchase? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202406050432690?sort=price-asc&make=Lexus&model=ES&postcode=S74 8DT&price-to=22500&advertising-location=at_cars&fromsra

Another question - is cruise control standard on all 2020 ES 300h models? I.e. will this one have it?

I’m not an expert on the ES, but all modern Lexus cars should have dynamic radar cruise control (where it’ll speed up and slow down based on the traffic in front). As that car has “Lexus Safety System Plus”, it should have that.

One big thing to note - and I wouldn’t be buying an ES right now until it’s clear how this is going to be sorted - are that this model, and others, are very easily stolen - thieves pull back the front bumper, plug in a device that looks like a Bluetooth speaker, and they can unlock and start your car:

Looks A Lovely Car Josh..I Assume it comes with The Yearly Service Record Book  That,s Important..I Personally would go for the NX 300h ..I Have one Same Year and quite simply its the Best car i Have EVER Owned..It Sits Higher on the Road Which i prefer And The bells and whistles in the car is At Another level   But Its your Choice And Whatever car you get You Will Experience AMAZING..!!!!!!

I love mine, prefer it to the UX which I have had two previously. I am assuming the one you are viewing was originally listed when new as under £40K, otherwise get the dealer to put a year's tax on it as after 5 years you don't pay the additional tax hike over £350 per year. I think the stealing risk predominantly increases for cars owned in the cities.

On picture no. 25 you can see the cruise control on the steering wheel.

The car description says "'full leather",then later calls it "Tahara".If it is Tahara, then full leather is a misdescription....Tahara means plastic or vinyl..so the nearest it has been to a cow is Macdonald's.God knows why Lexus put plastic seats in a car at this level. If they won't put leather in,the at least use fabric.
