Hi,

Recently purchased LBX Comfort Edition. All great so far apart from USB functionality. Cannot get it to recognise my memory stick with all my music on, no matter what I try! Made sure I'm using data port and not a charging socket. 32gb stick FAT32 formatted. Works fine in partner's non Lexus but just completely unrecognised in mine. Tried cables, adaptors, attachments. All sorts. No luck.

I know the expectation is stream from phone etc but I just prefer old school folders with tonnes of reorganised tunes!

Any advice greatly appreciated.

What brand of memory stick are you using? have you tried using a smaller sized memory stick eg a 16gb?. Had a similar issue with my IS250 years ago as i realised  it wouldn't play music from certain brands and sizes, still don't know why this is, all good for years now.

Hi

I had similar issue on 1 USB pen that was 32GB and originally formatted to NTFS, even reformatting to FAT32 didnt help, so I tried deleting the volume information via disk managment in Windows.

Open disk managment (DO MAKE SURE you choose right drive letter as this is perminent and dont want it being from main Windows drive) and pop in your USB and note the drive letter (it will also say removeable in the Disk list) , right click its volume label and choose delete volume, this will basically blank the drive. The USB will go from top menu list, but in the bottom list you will see a Disk number and it will say removable, right click where it says unallocated and choose New Simple Volume and follw the prompts.

Make sure under "Format this voume with the following settings" its set to FAT32, allocation is default and you can change the lable to anything you want and click next and Finish.

Hope it works for you as did for me

Screenshot below is from my PC, you'll see in the lower list of disks, that the USB is listed as removable, the other named basic are SSD drives with Windows etc on, dont click on them, just the removable oneScreenshot2024-06-20162216.thumb.jpg.50afc193ad681632cb67f8ab6d9a7fba.jpg

I had a similar usb issue. Windows can only format in fat 32 on usb drives less than 32gb then it uses ex fat 32 which is no good in the Lexus. "Rufus" is an easy to use free formatting program available online or on the windows store which will format any drive to Fat 32.
