12V battery change procedure for NX350h (2022) ?

I have a 2022 NX350h.

When the time comes to change the 12v Battery, is this something that you can do yourself, or does it have to be coded to the car through the OBD port like many other modern vehicles these days?

On the face of it, this car just seems to have a standard 12v Battery, it's not an AGM or EFB unit, so it might be just a simple swap by just taking the old one out and plugging a new one in, but I can't find any reference to what the process is, online. 

I am aware, in the UK at least, that the 12v Battery has a 4 year warranty (or at least in the UK it does) so nothing to worry about until at least 2026, I am just curious as to the process is all.

It's just plug and play. 

The only thing I would advise is if you are doing it yourself, use a memory saver as some models are prone to issues caused when changing the Battery.

Alternatively just get Lexus to do it so you don't have to worry if something pops in the infotainment system when it's changed

If you disconnect and swap to a new Battery, there will probably be loss of some of the car settings. Many of which will reset after a short drive - others may require a manual reset.

I would recommend using an OBD memory preserver (£10.99 from Amazon) which connects to a spare Battery - some say that even a 9v PP3 will give about 15 minutes to complete the change. I haven't tried that personally as I used a golf trolly Battery and had no problems.
