Hi

Having had my winter tyres taken off and my summers put back on, I have done the usual TPMS reset (Gen 4 RX) and cleared the yellow warning light.

I've only driven a couple of short journeys, maybe 4 miles in total across a couple of days but on the centre display, the tyre pressure monitor still shows ------- for each tyre.

Does it take a long ride for the TPMS to take readings of has the tyre likely to have fitter broken something?

Lexus fitted 4 new tyres to my Gen 4 RX and the display showed ------- until I got home about 7 miles later then it showed the actual tyre pressures.

I must say I was surprised to read this, never having had to reset the TPMS after changing tyres summer to winter or vice-versa.  And nor have the pressure readings remained blank for more than a few hundred metres after the changes.  Could it be that my trusty tyre guy has been doing things properly over the years without my ever noticing?  I’ve made a note to ask him next time.
