Hey all,
During a recent tire change, one of my 2006 GS 450h tire sensors broke and need to replace it. The official Lexus dealer asked for €300 plus labour, which is a lot.

I was wondering whether any of you had any experience with non-genuine replacements and whether the ECU was able to recognize and use them properly.

As an alternative, I thought about used spare parts on the internet, in which case I'm not sure which of the various codes I should use in order to find the right parts.

Thanks.

During change from winter to summer tyres it happened a sensor fail to my RX too, usually it's internal Battery to change (cheaper solution but it require some DIY skills), my tyre repairer used a not original programmable sensor copying code from failed one to new.

An alternative solution is to buy one already coded and programming it's code on car receiver using an app like Carista.

That's excellent! But I forgot to mention I'm in Milano, Italy. In the meantime I found one on eBay with the same serial number.
