Lexus LC 500 (Black Edition) vs LC 500h Launch Edition

Hey Lexus family,

Lexus Glasgow recently invited me to their drive event at Crossbasket Castle Hotel. It was a great opportunity to be around the LBX and new UX 300h!

They brought along their LC 500 black edition (aka inspiration series/bespoke build). I parked beside it upfront and it was a great opportunity to have a hybrid and the V8 side by side. I will note that out with seeing a green LC at the dealership last year, I haven't seen another LC in Scotland whilst being in my LC (even to grab a pic).

If you had to choose, are you going for an all black V8 or a white launch edition (with the tri colour interior) - promise not to get offended if you don't choose my car.

When I first saw a pic of this model I thought they were a bit too aggressive/muscly for my taste. Think i am changing my mind on that issue.

Why does one have a picnic table on the back and the other doesn't.? Is that some kind of option at purchase? Not being derogatory there. That's just what we grew up calling those rear spoliers.

Not immediate, but I think I would like to test drive the LC at some point. In the future I will offload the XK I picked up when the novelty value wears off and perhaps the LC might be a replacement IF the quality level was still inline with what I have on my SC. For sure the Lexus has that over the Jaguar everywhere you look.

I would take Black over White all day long.

The black 'Inspiration' model (2023 only IIRC) came with the carbon spoiler on the back end as standard. The only options on the Inspiration was the seat colour (black or red).

And yes, I prefer the black :)  (See Lexus Model over there <-<-<-<-) :-)
