I was wondering if anyone with a Lexus IS uses a portable AA/CarPlay screen like this one you can get from amazon?

What are your experiences using it and where have you put it to seamlessly integrate it in the car?

Please share pictures of your setup?

I personally like it because I dont really need to reach far (if the screen was placed up on the dash) Reason why I placed mine there was because tbh my car is on one temp setting for the majority of the time I'm driving as well as I can adjust it via the touchpad - not that big of a deal. I like being able to have my maps and music in a more convenient form factor. I have the USBC wire in between the panel as I have an additional USB plug hardwired underneath the center column. When I drive a different vehicle its easy to swap over. I contemplated the "seamless carplay screen" that runs around $800 but imo not worth it because the touchpad doesnt work the same, lag, hiccups with other oem car features (climate, settings, etc) versus this for $100.

Nice setup!

I haven't bought one yet but was looking to get a similar 10inch display. I want to make it seamless with the rest of the cabin so it doesn't look out of place. Have you tried putting it in the dashboard or in front of the OEM screen?

Reason why I hadnt put it in front of my OEM screen is because I need that screen free. I have the mark levinson sound system so I do tend to change the audio settings often (depending on type of music im feeling at the moment). I also tend to sit lower in my vehicle so having an additional device hanging above can just cause me trouble in California. For the most part my screen doesnt look too out of place, Ill take another photo later to show how mounted it. Usually I dont have the screen tilted that far over to me but for some reason that day I did. My logic was that I dont mind putting the screen blocking that portion of the dash because on the top screen I can still control my climate which is fine but if it were the other way, I lose more control.

I put my phone in a mount that slots into the CD player slot and so looks the same as you have there - just that the unit you have is a bit bigger than a phone.
