Electric powered driver seat not moving forward/back

Recommended Posts

Hello gents, just noticed some problem with my electric seat. It is not moving forward/back but all other positions are ok(lumb,up/down,recline). My seat is stuck in one one position and I can’t move forward or back only.

I don’t think it is a fuse problem because I can hear a motor running when pushing a button, I mean not running constantly but it sounds like stuck. Passengers seat working fine.
Also I checked if something is not blocking seat underneath it.
 Any advices are welcome, thanks!

Hi

It could be a malfunction in the worm gear in the seat mechanism - In the LS430 you can remove the seat by removing  bolts in each corner (hidden by a plastic cover) You could try this and see if you can see the cause of the fault.

There are electrical connectors underneath aswell - remember to disconnect Battery and wait 10 minute if you are going to diconnect them.

Thank you guys for the advice.
Seat started fully working next day, I haven’t done anything, then after couple hours my issue comes back. It is randomly repeating problem, one day is working ,next day isn’t.

To be fair is not big inconvenience for me because I’m quite tall and always travelling with seat far from steering wheel, but it is an issue for my wife 🙂
