Hello, I've recently purchased a 1997 R reg GS300 Sport, after I had one about 10 years ago and regretted selling it!

I've owned many cars of various marques (and at the moment my daily is a 2006 Mercedes E320 CDI sport estate), but in terms of Lexus ownership aside from the previous GS300 Sport, I've also had a 2009 RX450h, and currently my other half has a 2011 CT200h.

My current GS is in good condition in the main, but there's a couple of jobs to do before I'm completely happy. I'm in the process of greasing the front caliper pins to try and eradicate a nsf rattle, installing missing brake pad spring clips and replacing the front tyres because they look ancient!

I'm in Nottingham, and hope to be able to attend club meets locally and further afield in the near future.

Welcome Marius. That is indeed a lovely looking car. Have you wondered whether the reattle could be the pads not having been seated properly (or maybe a slightly inaccurate size) -  Long shot I know...

Not sure how a caliper pin could be sitting loose though as don't they have a seal to create a tiny vacuum. Enjoy the new steed...
