Hi,

When I try to use my washer jets, the passenger side comes out as you'd expect but the drivers side seems to lack any pressure.  I've had the jet out and can blow down it so doesn't seem blocked.  The pipe does't seem blocked either as the passenger side works.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I experienced a similar problem. I found it was a faulty non-return valve in the line running from the washer pump to the washer jet. It was restricting the flow. It appeared ok when I blew air through the line.

Generic non-return valves can be bought very cheaply on eBay.

The non-return valve was visible when the bonnet was raised. I didn’t have to remove anything to find it.

@Simpson Iain thanks for this.  I have an interior lining under the bonnet so I'll take that off and see if its behind there.  I've traced the line as best I can and cannot see one anywhere along it.

The lining fixings look quite substantial!!  They look like large headed plastic rivets which don't look easy to remove 🙄

If you could disclose your model of Lexus ( Marchy?) I can look up the pipe work routing for you on the exploded diagram.

There is a plastic retainer inside the jet which gives it the pressure it needs. If this isn't there you'll need a new jet.

UK spec cars use a "Type A" washer jet, they're about £20 from the dealer.
